Current Account

- Minimum amount of opening the account is JOD 200

Savings Account

- Minimum amount of opening the account in foreign currencies is USD 1,000 (or equivalent on other currencies)

Fixed Deposit - JOD
- Flexible Tenor with a minimum of one month and a maximum of one year

- Fixed deposit accounts carry a certain interest, the percentage of which shall be set at the time of deposit and upon each renewal, noting that interest rates calculated on yearly bases for deposits.
 
- The balance must be higher than the minimum set for this account, which is JOD 5,000; otherwise the interest shall not be computed
On maturity, the account is automatically renewed for an identical period and at the interest rate prevailing thereupon.
Fixed Deposit - Foreign Currencies

- Flexible Tenor with a minimum of one month and a maximum of one year

- This account is opened in all major currencies: USD, GBP, CHF (SFR), JPY, AED, SAR, KWD, SEK, DKK, CAD, AUD & EUR

- Fixed deposit accounts carry a certain interest, the percentage of which shall be set at the time of deposit and upon each renewal,otherwise the interest shall not be computed,noting that interest rates calculated on yearly bases for deposits.

- The balance must be higher than the minimum set for this account, which is USD 10,000; (or equivalent in other currencies) otherwise the interest shall not be computed
On maturity, the account is automatically renewed for an identical period and at the interest rate prevailing thereupon, unless otherwise instructed five working days prior to maturity date by yourself

The new "e-Deposits" from Arab Bank includes the fixed deposit account "e- Fixed Deposit" and the flexible deposit account the “e- Flexi Deposit”, with a host of benefits to offer you the utmost levels of convenience and flexibility with multiple booking options. Your request will be processed within two business days from the date of application. 

Fixed deposit account "e- Fixed" Deposit benefits include: 

- Booking a new fixed JOD deposit for amounts between JOD 5,001 and JOD 100,000.
- Booking a new fixed USD deposit for amounts between USD 10,000 and USD 50,000.
- Preferential interest rates for JOD fixed deposit booked through “Arabi Online”, noting that interest rates calculated on yearly bases for deposits.
- Flexible deposits durations (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual) for JOD and USD .

Flexible deposit account the "e- Flexi" Deposit benefits include:

- A monthly, quarterly or semi-annual fixed rate on your Annual Deposit to offer you.
- The ultimate flexibility to fulfil your financial needs and obligations.
- Booking a new JOD deposit for amounts between JOD 25,000 and JOD 500,000.

Basic Bank Account

:Basic Bank Account

It is a Jordanian resident bank account in JD currency with special terms and privileges targeting the individuals who are legally competent to deal with banks and do not have any bank accounts at any of the operating banks in Jordan and they wish to make bank transactions within limits and costs that fit with their income and conditions, provided that the account balance should not exceed 700 Jordanian dinars.

 Important Note : This account should be opened from any of our branches. This account’s terms and features do not apply on digitally on-boarded accounts via Arabi Mobile application.

Required Documents to open the Basic Bank Account:

1. A Valid Civil  ID / Military ID (In case of a military person).

2. In case of Power of Attorney (POA): A certified copy of a valid POA in addition to all documents referred to for both agent and Client.

3. For Clients with special needs: a diagnostic medical report showing disability type and degree /or the Identification Card issued by the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

General Terms and Conditions of the Basic Bank Account:

1.  No minimum balance to the basic account

2. Client should provide the Bank with an undertaking  to inform the Bank in case of opening an account other than the basic account at any other bank.

3. In case the Client receives frequent transfers for more than 6 months leading to exceeding the set limit, the Bank has the right to change the basic account into a normal account.

4. In the event that there are other bank accounts or transactions for the Client, the Bank is entitled to charge the Client for all commissions and fees from which the customer was previously exempted, provided that the Bank notifies the Client..

5. If there is a balance in the Client’s account without withdrawals or deposits on the account and the account holder could not be reached within a period of more than 6 months,, the account will be subject to terms & conditions of the dormant accounts.

6. The Bank is entitled to close the Basic Account in the following cases:

 

A- The Client provides the Bank with false or misleading information.

B-  The existence of another bank account for the Client either before or after opening the basic account.

C - The Client did not comply with the terms and conditions of the account.

D – If there is no withdrawal or deposit on the account and the balance of the Client's account is zero and the account holder cannot be reached within a period of more than 6 months.

Required Documents 

- Valid personal identification document for Jordanians (civil status ID or military certificate of appointment for the military). As for non-Jordanians (passport, Identification ID for the children of the Gaza Strip, or Identification ID for the children of Jordanian women).

-Birth certificate or family book for minors in case of opening an account in the state / guardianship in addition to the state / guardianship argument, if any.

- Proof of residence (utility bill for the past 3 months or a valid lease contract that does not exceed one year or updated or registration document for the property  or driving license stating address).

- Proof of work (letter from the employer, salary certificate, or salary voucher or craft/professional license stating work address

- A valid residence permit and a valid work permit or Diplomatic ID or Investor Card (for non-Jordanians).
